Express FM is proud to reveal that it will be providing full coverage of both of Portsmouth Football Club's men's and women's fixtures across the forthcoming weekend!
Part 1 of this Pompey Live weekender will come from The Valley on Saturday (February 24th) afternoon at 2pm. Kick-off for the League One fixture between Charlton Athletic and Portsmouth is 3pm.
The trio travelling up to South London for that game is made up of Connor Moseley, Jake Smith and Kirsty Roxanne, who will all be present at the game to deliver pure, passionate pre-match build-up, half-time analysis and post-game reaction. BBC Radio Solent's Andrew Moon and Guy Whittingham will be on the commentary.
Part 2 will be brought to you live from a ground that Portsmouth Football Club have not visited in any capacity since April 2009. St James' Park is the venue for the curtain closer of our Pompey Live weekender as Newcastle United host Pompey in the Semi-Finals of the FA Women's National League Cup.
A crowd of between 20,000-30,000 is expected up on Tyneside for this fixture between the leaders of the National League - Northern Premier Division and the leaders of its Southern equivalent.
Express FM is pleased to report that the game will not only be covered with all of the usual pre & post-match antics but also exclusive commentary too, acting as the only place you can listen to the game in and around the Portsmouth area.
Connor, Jake and Kirsty will again be your team for this one but they will also be joined by Matt Drabble, who has the background and know-how to lead the commentating role. A representative from the Portsmouth Women's setup will also be present and helping on co-commentary duties during the match.
After the full-time whistle at St James' Park, Express FM will provide immediate reaction of the game, including the opportunity to bring supporters tuning in the first post-match interviews from within the Blues' camp.
