Pompey's number 49 is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign as a result of a hamstring tear.
Lang had featured in 29 out of 33 of Portsmouth's Championship fixtures so far this season before being substituted off with a hamstring concern in the 2-0 win at Oxford United on February 15th.
Head coach John Mousinho revealed after the game that the issue was minor and that he was not too concerned about it, however it has today come to light that the playmaker is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.
The 26-year-old, who signed from Wigan Athletic in January 2024, had contributed to 10 goals and 2 assists in the league prior to this latest setback.
In a post on social media, Lang addressed the Pompey supporters:
Gutted to be missing the rest of the season. It’s been a tough blow, but I’ll be supporting the lads all the way and working hard to come back stronger 💙 https://t.co/8w6RRj8LeU
