Defender Denver Hume has today left Portsmouth Football Club to join League Two outfit Grimsby Town.
Hume joined the Blues in a £200,000 deal from Sunderland in January 2022 but has moved to League Two outfit Grimsby on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old had 6 months remaining on his contract at Frattton Park but has today mutually terminated that contract to ensure a permanent move up to Cleethorpes.
He had featured just twice for the Blues this season with both of those appearances coming in the EFL Trophy. His last game for Portsmouth came in the 5-2 defeat to AFC Wimbledon at Fratton Park on the 19th of December.
Grimsby currently sit 20th in League Two, 1 place above Danny Cowley's Colchester United but with a game in hand. Hume will be eligible to feature in The Mariner's clash with Accrington Stanley at the Wham Stadium on Saturday.
The defender joins Cheltenham Town's Curtis Thompson as Grimsby's 2 Deadline Day signings so far.
We wish Denver Hume all of the best in his next challenge.
Incomings for Pompey so far this January transfer window: Matt Macey, Myles Peart-Harris, Callum Lang, Tom McIntyre & Owen Moxon.
