Goalkeeper and club captain Hannah Haughton will leave Portsmouth Women after 6-and-a-half years with the club.

Haughton missed vast majority of the 2024/25 Barclays Women's Championship campaign through injury.

Signing in December 2018, Haughton went on to make 138 appearances for the Blues and was integral in last season's FA Women's National League - Southern Premier Division title success.

Overall, she kept 61 clean sheets for Portsmouth, including on her debut in a 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers.

Head coach Jay Sadler said in an official club statement: "Han has been an absolute pillar of this team for the past 6-and-a-half seasons, playing a vital part in our recent successes.

"Her on-pitch longevity, which has brought so many memorable moments, has been built on consistency, dedication and belief.

"Off the pitch, her leadership, professionalism and character is what truly sets her apart. She's been an incredible captain and a role model that will continue to inspire.

"We're all going to miss her hugely. She is a modern day legend of Portsmouth Football Club and I wish her nothing but the very best in whatever comes next."

Hannah Haughton added: "Pompey has been my home for 6-and-a-half years and it's been the best time of my life. I love the club and it's been the centre of everything that I did and there was nothing better than wearing the shirt.

"It was the proudest day of my life when I was made club captain and every time I wore the armband, I wore it with pride and honour. I wore my heart on my sleeve during every training session and every match for this club and I felt like I belonged.

"I owe a lot to Portsmouth. The club has made me the person I am today and made me feel like I had a home.

"The fans have been amazing and behind me every step of my journey and I will never forget that. They lifted me when I needed it the most in games and helped me on my amazing journey here.

"I will never love a club as much as I do Pompey and I will forever support the club with everything they do. I wish everyone all the very best and I'll always be their number 1 fan."
