29-year-old goalkeeper Matt Macey has re-joined Pompey on a short-term deal until the end of the season and becomes the club's first recruit of the January transfer window.
Matt Macey arrives back at Fratton Park to provide competition to Will Norris in goal.
Macey joins the aforementioned Norris and Ryan Schofield as Portsmouth's goalkeeping options.
This signing comes just a day after the news of Josh Oluwayemi's departure to FC Lahti in Finland.
Macey made 21 League One appearances for the Blues across the second half of last season and recorded 9 clean sheets.
He was also John Mousinho’s first ever signing as Portsmouth head coach.
The Pompey boss told club officials: “I’m delighted to bring him back here.
“He did an excellent job for us last season and it really strengthens our goalkeeping unit because we know that he’s an outstanding shot-stopper.”
Matt Macey arrives back on the South Coast as a free agent having left previous club Luton Town in the summer of 2023.
