Portsmouth Football Club has announced the deadline day signing of midfielder Owen Moxon from Carlisle United.
The 26-year-old arrives at Fratton Park on a 3-and-a-half-year deal from the Cumbrian outfit, who currently sit 23rd in League One.
Carlisle won promotion from League Two via the Play-Offs last May with Moxon making his breakthrough and bursting on to the English football scene during the 2022/23 season. He struck from the spot in that penalty shoot-out victory over Stockport County at Wembley.
Following that success, Moxon picked up a number of Carlisle's 'Player of the Season' awards and was named in the division's 'Team of the Year' at the EFL Awards.
So far this campaign, the former Queen of the South, Gretna 2008 and Annan Athletic man has managed 3 goals and 3 assists from 26 league appearances.
Absolutely delighted to be here! Can’t wait to get out in front of the fans. Ready for the challange ahead 👊 Thankyou to everyone for the messages of support 💙 https://t.co/lnOUrFIzsn

In an official club statement, head coach John Mousinho said: "Owen is a strong and powerful midfielder, who was one of the stand-out players in League Two last season.
"He's managed to kick on again during the current campaign and has been one of Carlisle's better performers.
"Owen has an eye for goal and takes a very good set-piece. He's mobile and knows how to handle the ball, so we're excited to have him at Pompey." - Mousinho added.
Blues midfielder Joe Morrell was substituted off in the first-half of Tuesday evening's 2-2 draw with Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium with an injury suspected to have been sustained to his knee. The Welshman is scheduled to have scans on Friday (February 2nd).
It is not yet known which squad number Owen Moxon will take at Portsmouth, however he wore the number 4 shirt for Carlisle. Elsewhere, Myles-Peart Harris has been confirmed to be squad number 44 while Callum Lang was seen at Oxford on Tuesday night wearing the number 49 shirt.
Moxon becomes the club's first deadline day arrival and fifth overall in the January transfer window, which slams shut at 11pm tonight (February 1st). The other 4 incomings so far include Matt Macey, Myles Peart-Harris, Callum Lang & Tom McIntyre.
