19-year-old Abdoulaye Kamara arrives on the South Coast on a 4-year deal.
Kamara joins the Blues from German giants Borussia Dortmund for an undisclosed fee, becoming the club's 11th summer recruit. The fee has been reported by Transfermarkt to be in the region of £1.5million
The news of the midfielder's impending move to Portsmouth was highlighted prior to the official release by world famous football journalist Fabrizio Romano, who posted on X:

Romano also broke the news last year of interest in Abdoulaye Kamara from Juventus, Italy's most successful club of the 20th century, however no move materialised and Kamara endured a season plagued with injuries in 2023/24.
The Guinea-born midfielder rose through 3 age group ranks at Paris Saint Germain in France before moving to Dortmund on a free transfer in 2021, featuring heavily since for the club's 2nd team in the German 3rd division. He did however make just 13 appearances across the 2023/24 campaign.
Kamara once featured on the bench for PSG in a UEFA Champions League Quarter-Final clash with Bayern Munich in April 2021.
Blues boss John Mousinho told club media: "He's an extremely promising young player who arrives with plenty of pedigree, having been at Dortmund and PSG before that.
"We think he's ready for Championship football and can really kick-start his career with us, so we're delighted to have him here.
"He's a powerful and combative midfielder who can handle the ball well - he's right up there in terms of his athleticism and game understanding.
"It's a brave step up for Abdoulaye to come over and look to prove himself in England and I'm excited to start working with him."
German football expert and writer of all things Bundesliga and Borussia Dortmund, Ben McFadyean told Express FM: "Abdoulaye is a strong and powerful midfielder - I really hope he succeeds at Pompey."
Jake Smith will be returning with the next instalment of The Football Hour this Friday (August 23rd) from 6pm and will be joined alongside Matt Corrick and Brendan Tuttiett to discuss this new signing, as well as the Blues' upcoming Championship fixture away at Middlesbrough.
