A new mural commissioned by the Pompey Supporters' Trust featuring 6 Pompey icons has been completed near Fratton Park.
Earlier this year, the PST published a fan survey which received 2,418 responses. Within this, supporters were asked to select their top 6 Portsmouth legends to be featured on a new mural near the club's home ground, Fratton Park.
Today (April 1st, 2024), the work has not only been started but has also been finished by official licensed street art group 'MurWalls' - @MurWalls on X.
Express FM's Kevin Stokes went down to see the mural for himself and snapped this photograph (left):
The mural features Linvoy Primus, Paul Meron, Nwankwo Kanu, Guy Whittingham, Robert Prosinecki and Alan Knight - It can be found on the wall located on the side of the Portsmouth FC club shop on Anson Road, just as you head down the alleyway behind the North Stand toward Milton Lane.
MurWalls have been operating for over 5 years now and have worked on some exciting projects with some big clients over the years, including Liverpool FC, who commissioned a giant mural of captain Jordan Henderson following the club's Champion League win over Tottenham Hotspur in 2019.
