Portsmouth's 2024/25 Fixtures Released

The Blues have today found out their preliminary schedule of fixtures for the upcoming campaign in the Championship.

Definitive dates and times may still change subject to selection for TV broadcasting. As of the new season, supporters must be given at least 5 weeks' notice of any scheduling changes, however that rule is understood to be relaxed back down to 3 weeks' notice in the final month of the season.

Pompey will kickstart the 2024/25 season with a trip to Leeds United on Saturday the 10th of August. The match, which is to be televised on the new Sky Sports + network with a 12.30pm kick-off time, represents the Blues’ first visit to Leeds since October 2011.

Their first home fixture back in the 2nd tier will take place on Saturday the 17th of August, where they'll face Luton at Fratton Park.

With Portsmouth now in the Championship, they will not be scheduled to play during the international breaks, whereas for the past 12 seasons, they would have matches pencilled in that would almost always end up being moved to accomodate for call-ups within the squad.

The first international break of the new season will see a gap in the Blues' schedule on Saturday the 12th of October.

The Christmas period for John Mousinho's side sees them take on Coventry at Fratton Park on Saturday the 21st of December and then Watford away on Boxing Day, the 26th of December.

2024 will conclude with a trip to Bristol City on Sunday the 29th of December.

Pompey will then commence 2025 with a home fixture against Swansea on Wednesday the 1st of January.

At Easter, Portsmouth are proposed to take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Good Friday, the 18th of April before then facing off with Watford at Fratton Park on Monday the 21st of April.
