Portsmouth Football Club and the Pompey Supporters' Trust have this evening released the results of their recent collaborative fan survey.
A total of 2,418 supporters responded to the recent survey to share their views on a range of topics, varying from stadium developments, fan safety, ticketing, transport and more.
This poll was held by the PST in order to gauge supporter happiness levels so that improvements in some areas can be looked into.
PST Chair Donald Vass said in a press release: "Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the survey. It's been a really useful exercise which will help us to better represent your views in our meetings with the club and the owners.
"The survey demonstrates that Pompey fans are in buoyant mood at the moment, with fan happiness rated highly across a wide variety of topics."
The 3 topics which matter the most to those who took the survey are the men's first team, Fratton Park and financial sustainability of the football club, whilst the 3 areas those supporters are the happiest with are the men's first team, financial sustainability and feeling safe at the stadium.
Portsmouth's men are top of SkyBet League One after 39 matches with 83 points on the board - 5 clear of Derby County in 2nd and 9 ahead of Bolton Wanderers in 3rd.
4 times a year, Portsmouth FC arrange meetings with supporters to discuss the what is going right and what could be improved at Fratton Park for fans and their enjoyment at games. This Matchday Experience Group regularly discuss a whole host of topics alongside the support of CEO Andy Cullen, Head of Marketing Matt Barker, Safety Liaison Officer Johnny Moore, Marie Stedman and Steve from Piglets Pantry.
These frequent get togethers are constantly helping to mould Fratton Park to be a great place not only to watch football but to enjoy spending the day at too.
- 91% of fans say that they believe the matchday experience at Fratton Park has improved over the past 2 years.
- 99% of supporters have expressed their satisfaction with the Jimmy Dickinson statue, which can be found in between the car park behind the North Stand and the Tesco store.
- 74% of the survey takers are happy with the current loyalty point scheme and policy for away ticket sales
The findings of the survey show that the 2 topics that supporters are least happy with are transport links to the stadium and the club's youth academy.
Chief Executive Officer Andy Cullen states: "The results provide a really helpful and valuable insight into those matters of most importance to our supporters as well ass assessing how well the club delivers against each of these different subject matters.
Donald Vass, chair of the Pompey Supporters' Trust, will be joining Jake Smith on The Football Hour on Monday the 25th of March (from 6pm) to discuss the results of this survey in greater detail, as well as what the PST have got coming up on their agenda for 2024.
