With Pompey’s season now over, we are giving you the chance to vote for your Express FM Goal of the Season.
The Pompey Live trio of Liam Howes, Jake Smith and Ryan Stillwell have each selected two of their favourite Blues goals from the 2020/21 season to put forward for our listeners to vote for in our Goal of the Season poll.
In case you need a reminder, here's the nominations...
Danny Cowley came in and took charge of Portsmouth with just 12 games remaining, with the club in 10th place following the dismissal of Kenny Jackett at the helm.
The Blues were 6th going into the final game of the season on Sunday and all they had to do was secure victory against Accrington Stanley to confirm a Play-Off place - their destiny was in their own hands but the visitors came to Fratton with other plans, returning to Lancashire with all 3 points.
8th was where Pompey finished in the League One standings, following Charlton Athletic’s 1-0 win over Hull City and Oxford United’s 4-1 victory at home to Burton Albion - Oxford claimed that final Play-Off position.
Jake Smith will be back on Monday (May 10th) to review the events of Sunday’s disappointing defeat on The Football Hour from 6pm.
The voting for Goal of the Season closes at 5pm on Friday (14th) afternoon and the result of that will be revealed on-air that same night, LIVE on The Football Hour with Jake Smith, Liam Howes and Ryan Stillwell, who will all be reviewing Pompey’s unsuccessful campaign.
