Portsmouth Park & Ride are running extra buses on Easter weekend to make people's journeys as quick and easy as possible.
Extra buses will operate between 11am - 3pm on Good Friday (14 April), Saturday (15 April) and Easter Monday (17 April) which means buses will run up to every seven minutes at these peak times.
The service is being run in conjunction with Gunwharf Quays to enable visitors to enjoy their visit and avoid queuing in traffic on what is traditionally one of the most popular weekends to visit the city.
Councillor Jim Fleming, Cabinet Member for Traffic & Transportation, said: "Easter weekend is very busy for traffic in Portsmouth, we are fully expecting our roads to be busy and advise people to plan their journey using Portsmouth Park & Ride. Why spend your time in a queue when you could park and then catch a bus straight to your destination?"
Portsmouth Park & Ride is located on the M275 entrance to Portsmouth and costs just £4 per day to park, or less with a smartcard. Or drivers can purchase a Visitorpass which enables them to park on 10 occasions throughout a year for just £3 per day. It's an easy and affordable way to park and avoid the queues.
The terminal building has plenty of parking, toilets, baby change facilities and real time bus information.
