There's family fun in Guildhall Square on Wednesday, with children's activities and a free screening of the animated comedy The Secret Life of Pets.
The Portsmouth City Council event, from 11am to 3pm, will include free face-painting and a free art workshop on the theme of pets. There will also be rides and trampolines (small admission charges apply).
The film will be on the Big Screen from 1pm to 2.30pm. It's a story about the adventures our pets have after we go to work or school each day. The quiet life of Max, a terrier, is disturbed when his owner takes in Duke, a stray.
Cllr Linda Symes, the council's Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Sport, said: "It's good to make use of the square for family activities over the holidays. We've teamed up with the Big Screen to make it a really great day out."
