Portsmouth has signed 55-year-old Kenny Jackett to replace Paul Cook as Pompey boss.
The former Watford, Swansea, Millwall, Wolves and Rotherham boss has signed a two-year deal at Fratton Park.
Jackett said about the appointment: “This is a fantastic opportunity for me and I’m looking forward to getting started."
The clubs official statement says blues chief executive Mark Catlin was delighted to welcome Jackett to the club.
“He’s managed big clubs with big expectations in the past and has plenty of experience of getting sides out of League One.
“Kenny also has a history of implementing strong structures to move clubs forward and this was key in our decision-making process. We’re excited about him bringing his philosophy of development to Pompey.”

You can listen to a special Football Hour discussing the new appointment this Monday from 6pm.
