A new Costa store opening in Albert Road, Southsea promises to be at the heart of the local community when it opens on Saturday 15th April – and will create eight new jobs for local people.
The new 2,000 sq. ft Costa store – which will be officially opened by Councillor David Fuller, The Lord Mayor of Portsmouth and The Lady Mayoress at 10am on Saturday - is being unveiled by local Costa franchise partner Premier Coffee, a company with a history of community involvement and charitable giving.
The new Southsea Costa will create eight new jobs in the area and will provide much needed training and apprenticeship opportunities for young people.
Commenting on its opening, The Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Councillor David Fuller said: “I am honoured to be opening the new Costa coffee store in Southsea. The new Costa will not only create new jobs, facilities and opportunities for local residents but will also provide another reason for visitors to come to Southsea, explore and take advantage of all that the area has to offer. I wish the new store every success.”
The new Costa in Southsea will be headed by local lady Jenni Speight who recently managed the Emsworth and Cowplain stores and is very excited about the new opening.
She says: “The new Costa in Albert Road will become a focal point for people visiting the area, to come and experience great coffee in a friendly and relaxed environment. The whole team is looking forward to welcoming the people of Southsea to our new Costa, which we hope will quickly become a key part of the local community.”
Costa is creating employment for eight local residents, all of whom have been provided with comprehensive barista training to be able to serve customers with Costa’s full range of delicious coffees, using the Ferrari of coffee machines that Costa employs throughout all its stores.
