Portsmouth City Council's car boot sales have generated £1,000 for the Rowans Hospice in just two weeks.
The popular event, which takes place in the area next to Pier Road from 7am to 2pm, began at the start of April and will run until the end of September and all profits will continue to go to the charity.
Cllr Linda Symes, Portsmouth City Council's Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure & Sport, said: "It is amazing that we have already raised £1,000 for the Rowans Hospice. This goes to show just how popular the car boot sales are and it is fantastic the council has been able to organise these and generate this money for such a worthy cause."
Entry is free for all shoppers and browsers, pitch fees range from £8 for a standard car up to £15 for those wanting more space.
The charitable fundraising will continue this weekend on Easter Sunday as car boot sales will be taking place every Sunday until 24 September, unless there is bad weather or a major event.
