Portsmouth put into Tier 2 from December 2nd

It means theatres can stay open, and a return of fans to Fratton Park is on the cards.

From December 2nd people in England will not be told to stay at home. However, England will revert to tiered system, this time with tougher restrictions.

It means in the city the Kings Theatre will be allowed to put on their 'Pompey Panto', up to 2000 fans could be allowed to upcoming Pompey fixtures at Fratton Park, and hospitality businesses across Portsmouth can reopen under certain restrictions.

Households are still not allowed to mix indoors, there are limitations on people attending weddings and funerals, and places of worship do not allow interaction with people outside your household or support bubble.

This latest news does not affect the previously announced 'Christmas Bubble' news where three households can exclusively mix for Christmas from 23rd-27th December.

Here's the full list of restrictions for Portsmouth from December 2nd.
