Portsmouth's Le Cafe Parisien repossessed after failing to pay rent

A cafe, which is popular with University of Portsmouth student and Portsmouth residents a-like, has been repossessed after failing to pay their rent.

Le Cafe Parisien is based on Lord Montgomery Way and the owners have been given 21 days to collect their stuff before it is disposed of.

A letter from Evershed Sutherland, posted on the cafe window, reads: "We are instructed by Language Specialist International Limited, your landlord at the above property pusuant to the lease between Language Specialists International Limited and Le Cafe Parisien. We confirm that in view of your failure to pay the rent due under the lease, our client has peaceably re-entered the property and taken possession.

"The lease has therefore been forfeited."
