Specialist Music Show Schedule Changes

The Country Music Show, That 80s Show, Scattering The Roots, and Music For The Soul find new homes on the Express FM Schedule.

As well as the recent announcements of Nicola Lashley taking over Express Breakfast and Alex Dyke joining the station to present his Bubblegum & Cheese show, we're making some more changes to the schedule. 

Kevin Stokes will be making new waves on Monday nights at 9pm with That 80s Show, jumping to the start of the week playing just great songs from the 1980s from the more indie, post-punk and alternative side of the 80s. 

A whole new look Wednesday nights sees Russell Hills' Country Music Show start our specialist music shows at 7pm, playing the best country music, local artists and 'Live from the Lounge' sessions. This will be followed by Scattering The Roots at 9pm with Dan Ogus highlighting the best folk, roots, blues and musical curiosities. 

Turner James' Express Floorfillers In The Mix moves to Friday nights at 11pm and Mason Jordan & Reghanae Rose will be hosting a new Express Floorfillers show Saturday nights at 11pm.

Music For The Soul joins our Sunday line up with Gloria Miller showcasing the very best soul, Motown and anything that causes some sort of emotional response be it joy, sorrow, regret, or thankfulness.

Station producer Mason Jordan said "We're so excited about these changes, and for these brilliant shows to be reaching different audiences. We're very proud at Express to be offering alternatives you do not find elsewhere on the radio. Alongside these changes, we're also looking forward to welcoming back more volunteers, as well as introducing more new voices and shows soon - including a new early morning show throughout the week."
