The Rainbow Centre in Fareham have pulled out all the stops to give people an opportunity to enjoy themselves whilst raising essential funds.
They say they have realise that not everyone wants to get active, some people prefer a relaxed evening rather than a challenge so hopefully the month shall provide something for everyone.
June gets off to a relaxed start on the evening of Saturday 17th as they invite you to join them at their musical gala being held at The Millennium Hall, HMS Collingwood. With performances from The Portsmouth Military Wives Choir, The Hampshire Police Male Voice Choir and the HMS Collingwood Volunteer band, bubbles on arrival with drinks and canapes throughout this really will be a delightful start to summer.
Saturday 24th June sees the annual Fun Day at the centre on Cams Alders recreation ground. There will be a dog show, live music and dance, face painting, helter skelter, laser quest arena, disco assault course, BBQ, Pimms bar, strawberries and cream, free parking and lots of great stalls - everything you could want out of a fun day and more plus it’s free entry for all!
On Saturday 25th June, The Centre is looking for superhero’s in the community to compete the charity’s first ever Super Challenge event.
The event is open to individuals or teams of 4 and suitable for all ages and abilities. You could take part in the running challenge but if you are feeling more adventurous why not try the Adventure challenge involving kayaking, running and cycling.
Money raised by competitors will all go to an amazing local charity supporting 5 key disabilities. The team are hugely grateful to 10 members of the Rainbow 100 Club who are sponsoring the event.
